If someone wants to be part of your life, they'll make an effort to be in it.

That is so true.

It was a facebook status a little facebook friend on mine wrote (she's little because she's like 14, but she's so petite and tiny!)

I am grateful for my friends, scrapbooking ones and non scrapbooking ones. You all are important to me =)

Cooking With Cricut - Spring Flower

I have been watching a blog for a little while now called Cooking With Cricut and l think you should all go and check it out - its updated daily which is a real bonus and there is loads of creative talent and ideas =)

I thought l would enter this challenge, called Spring Flowers.

I used the "Walk in my Garden" cartridge for the title. I also used Echo Park Paper and a Sassafrass Lass journalling card.

If you have a cricut and would like some inspiration, ideas or a challenge to get you out of your rut, go and visit Cooking with Cricut!

Mums the Word

Because l had a spare moment today while mum was out, l decided to get cracking on her and Michael's mum's Mothers Day Cards.

I scraplifted this idea, the papers are different but the concept is the same. I made two but l've only shown one here in the photo, they are both the same:

I think our pink jug matches pretty well :) I hope they like them, l find them pretty cute!

Materials
Cricut Machine
Cricut Cartridge - Country Life
My Minds Eye patterned paper
Cardstock (Bazzill)
Kaisercraft Rhinestones

Cherish

The camping trip away was fantastic! I will have to share the layout l scraplifted later when l put the photos and journalling on.

In the meantime here is a kit l made a layout from, which is from Scrapbooking Superstore. I thought the photos from my friend's wedding suited the colour scheme perfectly:

(If you click the image above, you will be able to view it in another window and zoom)

Next time l'll share an off the page project =)

This layout l made is a scrapbooking layout, literally! Its a layout on how much l love scrapbooking!

Its a kit from Scrapbook Sensations, and the papers are by Karen Foster Design

This is one of 3 layouts l made on Friday with my friends, yes two of my friends came around to scrap, l was very surprised!! Had a ball, got a lot done and laughed so much!

P.S. I have fixed up the bric-a-brac at the bottom of the second page!

Wedding

A non-scrapbooking related post today. Michael and l went to the wedding of our dear friends, Chantal and Peter at Windsor on Saturday - it was such a fun wedding! We danced the night away, drank loads of wine, chatted to a nice lady who also does scrapbooking and is an avid scrapbooker like me - she has a cricut too! Loves the paper brands l like too! We will be going to a crop together next month, along with Chantal, should be a good night!

Here are some photos dad took of Michael and l before we left for Windsor:

How cute does he look in his suit!

No scrapbooking for a few weeks now, l'm saving all of my ideas for Friday when l scrapbook all day with a good friend of mine, l am looking forward to it very much!

Hardest Card

This week, l decided to not do a layout but a card for a dear friend of mine who is getting married on the weekend. I was undecided as to whether or not to buy a card or make one, and l opted to make one, even though l didn't have a clue where to start.

Here it is:

It was pretty difficult in terms of keeping it simple. Wedding cakes are simple, and plain. Its hard to make a card, make it look like a wedding cake and not look like it only took you 5 minutes. The ribbon was the hardest as l had to curve it, and not have it buckle. the colours in the photo aren't very good, it is a deep purple. Of course this is a cricut-made card.

Until next weekend...!
